Fab Five Friday

These next couple of days/weeks are going to be pretty intense so I will try my hardest to post but do not be surprised if I don’t 🙂 I can honestly say that I can tell the half-marathon training is helping my run pace BUT it is also putting a hurting on my legs — yeah they hurt.

The fab finds for the week:

Fab Five Friday September 27, 2013

1 – Amazing view – On Wednesday we were suppose to get rain so they sky had an overcast all morning while I was running.  But in the afternoon as I was driving I saw hints of God’s beauty come through the clouds.. I had to pull over and take a picture.

2 – Apple cider slush – I took the girls apple picking this past weekend at Evans Orchard.  What a great first for all of us (yes I have never been apple picking before) — and we naturally had to get something from the store which was apple cider slushies.  YUM is all I can say and I hope to make it out there before fall ends.  BTW — I will be posting an upcoming recipe using the picked apples.

3 –  Nicaraguan food – we also stopped at the latino de festival last weekend to listen to some music and eat dinner.  I got a vegetarian platter from the Nicaraguan food vender which was composed of fried yuca, beans/rice, with some chimichurri.

4 – Another owl – as we have seen over the past couple of weeks I am really liking owls — this was a cute little creation I saw in the store.

5 – Outdoor Fall Decor – There is a fall event happening where I run so they have begun putting up fall outdoor decorations — I just liked the funky pumpkins/gourds in this one.

So what fab finds have you come across this week?
